ITRA gives you a quick overview of some races organized this weekend !
Mesastila Peaks Challenge is an extreme trail running event that aims to challenge the inner spirit and the physical condition in the heart of Java. This year’s races will be more challenging and will offer more beautiful Javanese scenery, with five categories 100K, 65K, 42K, 21K & 11K. Escape onto unused tracks, overgrown jungle trails, small village roads, rice paddies, cross and climb up to five mountains in Central Java Mt. Andong 1726m, Mt. Merbabu 3145m, Mt. Merapi 2930m, Mt. Telomoyo 1894m and Mt. Gilipetung 1400m with a cumulative gain of up to 7758m, finishing in the retreat of Mesastila.
Ultra Trail at the region of Rincón de Ademuz (Province of Valencia-Spain) was born with the intention of promoting sports in nature and to make known inland villages throughout the region of Rincón de Ademuz by means of mountain running races in the nature showing landscape, vegetation, soils, rural arquitecture, traditional plots from river basins to mountains which sourround this region, as well as the rich gastronomic variety. Three races are proposed: 34K with 1100m D+, 100K with 3600m D+ and 170K with 6800m D+. The races go through natural protected areas such as Municipal Natural Areas, the Puebla de San Miguel Natural Park, Flora and Fauna conservation areas or the Ebron River Basin, one of the 80 River Basin Reserves declared in Spain.
